Wearable Museum of Irene

This assignment was to create a collection based on a woman named Irene "the Queen of Lincoln Road".  She was an older lady who worked as a stenographer. But one of the most amazing things that I saw from her was her amazing creations. She made her own clothes and had an extensive collection of hats, big jewelry, and used unconventional materials. I decided to take inspiration from different objects in her life and make designs that resembled these objects. From being able to wear a skirt that looks like a typewriter that actually gives a fun sensation of typing to being a fashionable hat and a purple Cadillac. There are so many fun clothing pieces in these designs that are colorful, have different textures and can and I think would be worn by Irene if she were still with us today.
